OOTD: Lacey Sweater, Leggings, Reindeer Socks?

Hey Everyone! I hope you enjoy this comfy OOTD :)
I was just having a cozy Saturday at home, and thought I would share my cute outfit with you!

I actually have no clue where these socks came from!
My mom bought them for me for Christmas last year :)
I love wearing them with tights (although, not TOO often haha) because they're so cute!

This top is from Dynamite. I love the sleeve length and how soft it is!
The lacey-floral detail on the front is so pretty!
The white tank underneath is from H&M.

These earrings were love at first site for me!
I found them at Icing.
I usually don't change my earrings that often, but these are so pretty, I try to find reasons to pair them with outfits!

Everyday Hair Routine

Hey Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well!

I just thought that I would share my every day hair routine, and I'm warning you now -> it's soooo simple! I generally only use two products. The first is Argon Oil, I really love this stuff! It smells really good, sort of reminds me of honey? I love how it makes my hair feel. I always apply this first thing out of the shower. I love how silky it makes my hair feel, but never feels like its weighing it down- or making it gunky. This also acts as a heat protectant (for the odd time I use heat to style it), and I like to use a couple drops after styling as well to tame any frizzies :)

The second product I use is the ION scrunching spray. This stuff is awesome if you have a natural wave to your hair! It doesn't make your hair feel crunchy or untouchable, and you can use it on dry hair to freshen up your style (I usually use it on wet hair the first day, and then touch up dry hair the next day). One of my other favourite products for scrunching is the Herbal Essences TOUSLE ME SOFTLY mousse (which is great if you like to play with your hair- as it doesn't flake or get frizzy either).

Like I said, this is extremely easy :) These products are great for my hair! My hair does most of the work on it's own- I just tame it a little :)

UPDATED Foundation Routine

Hey Everyone :) Thanks for checking out my foundation routine :)

This is a pretty simple routine, but I thought that I would share anyway :)

After my skin care routine, I start with Coastal Scent's Bright Eyed eye brightener, to cover up any blue that's beneath my eyes.
Next I use Clinique's Superbalanced makeup in shade ..... and I put that on the back of my hand. I like to mix a dime size amount of moisturiser with it and apply to my face with a foundation brush from Coastal Scents.
Then I apply concealer, currently I'm using Almay's Smart Shade concealer in Light. I put this under my eyes, and on any blemishes around my face. I love this for under my eyes, and it's long wearing- but I'd like something more concealing for blemishes.
As a setting powder I apply Clinique's ... pressed powder in shade 108(G) with a blush brush (but a big fluffy powder brush would be a lot better- I just don't have one yet).

After I finish these steps, I usually finish my eye makeup and blush before I contour and highlight. Which I generally use Rimmel's Natural Bronzer in shade 022, and Coastal Scent's Hot Pot in Flesh Tone (as a highlight).

Skin Care Routine

Hey Everyone! Thanks for checking out my skin care routine :)

I'm always trying to find a skin care regimen that I will enjoy long term, and lately all of the things I've been trying are drying out my skin. I had been purchasing products for dry/combo skin because I kept getting dry patches- but oily in the T-zone. Which would make you think, "Oh! Combo skin.", but I think what may have been happening was I was drying out parts of my skin too much (my forehead) and it was making extra oil to compensate... giving my oily feeling skin that was also flaky?

I also think that my skin was less dry a few years ago, and I just haven't paid enough attention to notice that it has changed. My bad :S. Recently, I purchased the Spectro Jel Cleanser for Dry Skin, and the Spectro Hydracare Moisturiser for dry skin. I also bought some witch hazel, to use for toning.

I've been using this routine for a few days now (when the video is posted), and I thought that I would give my first impressions. I really like that the cleanser doesn't leave my skin with a tight/dried out feeling. I don't mind at all that it doesn't suds up either. It doesn't do a great job of removing makeup, but I use a separate makeup remover anyway.

I love how Witch Hazel soothes and calms your skin. If you can find it without alcohol in it, I'm sure that would be better- but my store didn't have any.

I don't notice anything particularly awesome about the moisturiser. I don't notice much of a difference between this and the Clinique Moisturiser (accept this one is less expensive). I do like that there is salicylic acid it it as well.

*Unfortunately, I just learned that Spectro Jel is currently only available in Canada at this time*

New Year's Eve! Accent with colour!

For this look I went for a softer eye look :) It still has glitter (which unfortunately doesn't pick up on camera too well because it's so light), but is a much more wearable look. I took the green from my shirt as inspiration for the accent colour, but you can substitute for any colour that you like! Enjoy!

New Year's Eve! Drama!

Hey everyone!

I'm really excited about this tutorial, it's glamourous, fun, and sparkly! For this look I did a navy/black smokey eye... with a blue glittery lid! I paired this look with red lips (go big or go home, right?). But if it's too much all together, you can always go for a nude lip. This is a really stunning look, but I'd recommend wearing a simpler more understated outfit, a LBD and some nude pumps perhaps? I hope you enjoy the video! Soft Brown Smokey Eye

This is a look that I wore to a birthday party a few weeks ago :) It's a brown smokey eye, elegant, and a bit on the softer side. I didn't really use liner for this look, just a couple of eye shadows as liner. I think this is a really great look to wear for a special event! It's simple, but still beautiful :) Enjoy!

Christmas/Holiday Makeup Looks

I wanted to throw a post up of all three Festive tutorials that I've done for this season. This way they're all in one place and easy to find :)

Christmas Vixen Tutorial

This first look brings together red, green, and gold for a really pretty festive look. It's bold, but not so much that the colours overpower each other.

Favourite Nail Polishes/Combos for the Holidays

Hello Everyone :)

Today I wanted to share some of my favourite nail polishes, and polish combos, for the Christmas Season (or just winter itself). I've been feeling super festive lately, so I thought this would be fun to share :)

DISCLAIMER: I purchased all of these products myself. All opinions are my own.

I'll start off neutral with ORLY's "FIRST KISS". This is a really pretty peachy-nude polish. I like this all year long, but it's my favourite nude polish for winter. When I apply this colour, I like to start with 2 coats of a white polish as a base, and then follow with 2 coats of the Orly colour. It's a lot of coats, but "FIRST KISS" is meant to be a sheer french mani colour, and I like it to be more opaque.

For a cooler darker look, I like Chinaglaze "CONCRETE CATWALK" with O.P.I.'s "HOLIDAY GLOW" over top. Concrete Catwalk is a really nice dark grey that is just a little more subtle than a jet black. Holiday Glow is a sheer purple base with silver sparkles in it. First I applied 2 coats of Concrete Catwalk, and over that I applied 1 coat of Holiday Glow.

Lately, I've fallen in love with O.P.I.'s "SHIM-MERRY CHIC", but only over top of other colours. It's a browny-goldy sheer base with opalescent gold flakes throughout. I think its an absolutely gorgeous colour (when placed over a base colour). My favourite colour to layer it over is Orly's "PRINCE CHARMING". When I use this combo I put on 1 coat of Prince Charming, and over top 1 coat of Shim-Merry Chic.

This one is a polish I've raved about for a while now, whenever the seasons get colder and darker colours become more popular once again. This is O.P.I.'s "ALL A-BORDEAUX THE SLED", it's a rich dark wine colour that I think is absolutely stunning. Depending on the opacity I want, I'll apply 2 or 3 coats. The photo below shows 3.

"RUBY PUMPS" by Chinaglaze is my favourite festive polish. It's a beautiful red glitter that is perfect for Christmas time! You really only need 2 coats of this, but I like to add a third just to be certain its completely opaque. You can put a base underneath, but I don't think its necessary :)

Coastal Scents Eye Bright

Hello Everyone :) Welcome to my review of the "Coastal Scents Eye Bright" brightener. DISCLAIMER: I purchased this product myself, all opinions are my own, I am not being compensated for this review.

Now that's out of the way, lets get into it! I've been using this product for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it. For $9.95(USD) you get 20 mL of product, which is quite a fair amount. But when you realize how little of this you need (or at least how little I use), this product stretches really far. Two tiny dots where my eyes look purple brightens me up and makes me look nice and healthy (even on the roughest of mornings). It really saved me this past weekend for pulling off the fresh wide awake look. The shade I bought is IVORY.

Coastal Scents offers four shades on their website, IVORY, LIGHT, MEDIUM, and DARK. The only shade I've tried is the IVORY though.

Bare Face

Application (2 dots)

Left Side has the brightener applied.
My circles weren't as apparent today,
so there isn't a HUGE difference.
But you can tell its a little better.

I always put this under my regular concealer because I find my skin is a little bit more yellowy-toned, so if it blends over anywhere that isn't purple/blue it looks too pink on my skin. I purchased this product after reading that it was a salmony-toned corrector, which I've had a hard time finding at the drug store. Emily from BeautyBroadcast.net did a review on YouTube for this product so I decided to try it out.

When I first tried it, I applied too much (not realizing how far so little goes) and really had to blend it down. Once you get the right amount for the coverage you need its a really nice creamy product- that always lasts throughout the day!

Overall I really think this product is a WIN. Great coverage of dark circles (blue/purple toned- this wont be good if you have more brown discolouration), very creamy consistancy, a little goes a very long way! If you're looking for an affordable salmon-toned corrector, I don't think you can go wrong with this product :)

well it can cancel out blue tones.

I just wanted to welcome you all to my blog :)
My name is Breanne Wiesner... in case you haven't already read my profile :)

By day, I work in a fast food restaurant... flipping burgers... greeting customers... etc. etc.

By night, (& weekends) I make videos on youtube of makeup looks, hauls... things I love, and things I don't love so much...

Recently, I thought that instead of posting all of the products I used into the youtube drop down... it would be easier to post them here. I can also post photos easier as well :)

Since on youtube I don't post videos about EVERYTHING, I thought that having a blog would make it a lot easier to post about things that maybe didn't require a video. I would also be able to post more OOTD's maybe? (Although I still love making videos for those)... or quick reviews of products that I think are exceptional and need mentioning, as well as things that are UN-exceptional and disappointing.
